Do you watch fansubs or buy it or do you watch through another legal streaming source such as crunchyroll?

Personally, I watch what isn't available to me online. D:
When it's licensed or something I really want, I buy it all. :'D Like with Nabari.. Quite a good collection I have. In my room, there's enough items for someone to be a millionaire when I think about it.. XD I buy all Studio Ghibli films (I haven't bought Ponyo yet, I might wait till Earthsea is in English) and have only watched Earthsea online like, two years ago. D; I do love that movie despite bad ratings.. I don't download episodes though. D: Or buy them online. Series like Eden of the East I'd just buy if I could.

I watch fansubs just for the fact I can see an episode much earlier then if I were to buy it. (within a week of it being aired in japan). It doesn't mean I don't buy though. If it's a series I absolutely love, I'll buy it once it's available to me. =)

Fansubs >_>; mostly because I'm cheap and yeah like Namazzi said you get to see it alot earlier then if to be release on dvd xD
and here in australia, it takes FOREVER! for an anime to release on dvd here that we dont have yet -.- we be so slow lmfao so I speed up the progress and save the money and watch fansubs xD but there is afew Anime's I wouldn't mind owning on DVD though.

Whatever gets me the best encode available. As a result, I have nearly a terabyte of anime and over 100 DVDs.
I never stream period since the encodes are far inferior to what I could easily get elsewhere. But I see it's use for those who can't afford better, and in fact know people IRL who have to make that compromise to get their anime viewing.

I watch fan subs myself. Like hell I'm paying through the nose for something on DVD When I can download it in BD quality. Or it could just be the fact that yes I too am cheap and also the fact that I'm permanently skint because I'm unemployed. (Hopefully changing soon.)
Illegal? Do I care much, I'll take a different approach when they start knocking on my door.

Some believe that fansubs will kill the anime industy. I usually watch subs, but once in a while I feel like supporting the anime industry (the anime I really enjoyed). Also, need some more money.

the thng is, there's so much anime that isn't and probably never will be dubbed and released on DVD, and yet we're killing the industry by downloading? It's a double edged sword, we want the anime that they're not giving us, yet by seeking it out for ourselves we are decried for damaging the industry we love.
