I don't really have any experience with romance manga, is it often the really kinda perfect fairy tale style romance? or are most of them better than that?

Loads of girls I know in real life keep telling me not to bother with Romance Manga since it really won't be my thing, and yet loads of you guys (guys in the male context in this case) keep saying its good and I've seen a few people recommending some... I dunno if I should bother giving any a try because of these mixed messages xD

well theres nothing stopping you from talking about it lol as long as theres no images and so on its not against any rules what so ever and by sound of it must be hentai don't see anything wrong with that if im correct.

haha. But they're kinda right; after some while you'll really get tired of it as, you know, cliches, returning events andsuch. They start annoying the heck out of people. But it kinda depends, because you'll find more of the girly or hopeless romantic type of girls reading romance only, the 'normal' mixed between shounen/shoujo/josei/seinen and the boy-ish types just shounen only, without caring about romance at all.
~_~
There are some good romance manga to begin with though. Give out a call and I can give you a complete list.

I just recently started Dengeki Daisy and I have to say it is the best Shoujo romance I ever read.
I don't usually read much shoujo but this one is <3
The mix of mystery and romance is just awesome. The twists, characters are all great.
Humor is awesome. I had lots of moments where I couldn't stop laughing :3
The characters are awesomely funny, especially the main guy.
I highly recommend this manga. Its definitely one of my favorite romance C:
Most favorite Shoujo for me.

Me. D: I'm waiting for the anime to come out to show to one of my friends. Her family will really love it. XD I would've bought her that for Christmas, but the first volume is hard to find. :/ although I own it, was going to buy the second volume but thought I'd find it at the bookstore instead and bought a different book at the game shop... bad choice.
I've read all current translated chapters though. D:
A couple of my favourites... The One, Kimi ni Todoke, Dengeki Daisy, etc.
If you like modeling and something realistic, try The One. D: If you like pure, innocent high school romance that's a bit different than ordinary manga, try Kimi ni Todoke. If you like moving series, try Dengeki Daisy. XD
I like a lot of series with love in it that isn't necessarily romance. I love Nabari no Ou's pairings, especially Miharu and Yoite. It's a complicated sort of couple, considering the gender of the second boy. But it's so sweet, it utterly moves you to tears.

Mm, I like some cute boys love ones. I've been looking for a manga I'd enjoy with romance in it. D:
I think one I liked was Sensei!. It was something like that, about a high school girl and one of her teachers who end up falling in love. Normally I don't like those sorts of series, but this one is rather good.
And Hana no Namae. About a girl whose parents die and she is passed through relative to relative until her cousin Kei adopts her. At the beginning of her stay, she is like a lifeless doll until he snaps some life into her, being a man swarmed in depression and a writer with a gloomy outlook. He tells her to cook, clean, and keep up with her studies, which she does. He tells her to groom his garden and make it bloom if she has time. She does and eventually and brings her to speak and full of words.
Later, he publishes a novel called Hana, about a man coping with a mental disorder and his love for a girl who's aphasic (she can't speak or understand language). After the girl dies, the final scene has him lying in the flowers she has tended to. This shows Kei's affection for Chouko, bringing the two to realize their slow yet sure feelings.
It's a good story.

Indeed I have never heard those titles you have mentioned Han-Kun.
They seem somewhat pleasant. Despite some of the hardships that are obviously involved.
I believe you to have a fine taste for romance manga my friend.

There's an anime version for kimi ni todoke right? I haven't watched it yet though. Which is better kimi ni todoke or wallflower?
I am about to read Kyou Koi wo Hajimemasu. I think it has a good plot.

Kimi ni Todoke is a brilliant and simple romance manga :] I like. I find it better than Wallflower.
I recommend Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu. <3 It's a heart-warming yet also heart-tearing romance manga. There's a movie out with Inoue Mao starring as the female lead 8D

Yeah, there's an anime of Kimi ni Todoke. D: When I was over at my friends house, I got her hooked on Kimi ni Todoke and Eden of the East.
I really suggest Eden of the East to anyone. XD
But yeah, Kimi ni Todoke is better than Wallflower, but I don't remember much of Wallflower's anime because I watched it back in 2007. ^^; The manga I like to follow, because it's cute, but they're completely different from one another. :3
Oh, I bought the first volume of Kimi ni Todoke in English... it came with stickers. X3 I was giggling because I thought that was too cute. I also bought volume 2.

Ah! How could I forget Julietta Suzuki's manga?! ;__; Her series are GOLD, just like Yuki-sama's. *she can never remember the last name of the mangaka of The Red Chair and Natsume Yuujinchou*
I love Kamisama Hajimemashita. ^^ About a girl whose father abandons her in a load of debt. Thinking she'll live on the streets she meets a kind man named Mikage, who kisses her forehead and makes her a mountain god of a temple he once was the god of but ran away for twenty years. XD
She goes there and there are two servants. She then meets Tomoe, Mikage's former fox familiar.
God damn Tomoe and Mikage... D8 They ish both so cute~. *loves Mikage for some strange reason, although he rarely appears*

Eden of the East was GOLD XD The Johnny thing was brilliant. I really didn't understand it at first though. -awkwardawkward-
Parfait Tic is a good shoujo/romance. If you don't mind the frustrating drama and crying main lead ._.

I couldn't agree more sister. Its my favourite genre too!
Not like that wasn't obvious from my fangirl love affair with it......:pinched:
I could care less if it only had romance in it.
two star crossed lovers from two different social classes.
Both madly in love with each other.
But their parents do not approve of it at all.
How Romantic! *gushes*
